Trigeminal Neuralgia

FREE Consultation

Are you suffering from trigeminal neuralgia?

If so, how severely is it affecting your life? Does in come in waves? Or is the stabbing, burning sensation there almost 100% of the time? Are you sick of going to doctors appointments and “trigeminal neuralgia specialists” when the only thing that you’re told is that you need a stronger medication to deal with the pain. What’s most frustrating is that medication alone doesn’t really help identify the cause of the problem

So if there was a natural, non-drug and non-surgical approach to helping trigeminal neuralgia with a high rate of success, would you want to know about it? If so, let me explain the connection between trigeminal neuralgia, the upper part of your neck, and a unique form of healthcare that may be able to help you..

What no one has ever told you about Trigeminal Neuralgia

Most treatments for trigeminal neuralgia focus on the three main branches of the trigeminal nerve: the opthalmic, maxillary and mandibular Nerves. Surgical procedures like microvascular decompression (MVD) are effective for trigeminal neuralgia about 50% of the time. Unfortunately, that leaves 50% of trigeminal neuralgia cases unimproved after treatment. It would suggest that the other 50% experience trigeminal neuralgia for a different reason. That reason may well be dysfunction with the root of the trigeminal nerve.

Muscle Twitching

Are you Looking for a Solution for your Muscle Twitching all over the Body at Rest?

Are you suffering from muscle twitching all over your body at rest? And have you ever paid attention to see if it happens when you have your head in a certain position? Not only is it terribly disruptive when you sleep, it can be downright scary! Especially when you google search “cause of muscle twitching all over the body,” there can be all kinds of nasty diagnoses that appear.

Yes, muscle twitching all over the body at rest can be an indication of a serious medical problem. However, it can also be a sign of a functional disturbance to your nervous system that you can improve. I’ll explain more about what that means in this article, but let me pose an additional question for you first: What other symptoms do you experience in your life? Even if they don’t seem to be connected to the muscle twitches?

Headaches? Vertigo? Low back pain? Or something else? Whatever it is, my experience is that there is usually a connection. The question then is, “What is it?” And then “What can you do about it?” I want to explain the role of the upper neck and how it may be related to muscle twitching that happens in your body, and how correcting underlying issues there may be able to help improve your quality of life and peace of mind.

TMJ and the Upper Neck - Cause or Effect?

If you have been dealing with TMJ problems, here is an important study that may help you with the underlying cause of the problem. A recent study highlighted a strong link between dysfunction of the jaw (temporomandibular joints, or TMJ) and the joints in the upper neck (aka upper cervical spine). To quote the study: There is moderate and strong evidence that patients with [TMJ dysfunction] present lower endurance of extensor neck muscle, global and upper neck hypomobility, worse self-reported neck disability, however, their craniocervical posture is similar to individuals without TMD, based on a moderate to excellent methodological quality. I want to highlight the two parts in bold-face: 1) lower endurance of extensor neck muscle and 2) upper neck hypomobility.

What do the neck muscles have to do with TMJ?

Neck extensors are the group of muscles that are involved with bringing the neck back into extension, like looking upwards to change a lightbulb. The prime movers are a group of muscles called the erector spine, which anchors into the base of your skull and neck and runs continuously all the way down to your pelvis and tailbone. These muscles are also assisted by a secondary group of muscles that assist with neck extension called the splenius muscles, and also the elevator scapula, which attaches your shoulder blade to the vertebrae in your upper neck.
